The animations are smooth, everything looks amazing in HD, and each special symbol, as it appears, has bright colours following along it. You can see very clearly that Hot Sync had a lot of work put into it to make it work, and we couldn’t be happier to see it.

It has a 3×5 playing field with 20 fixed paylines, keeping to a traditional model that works, while offering you a wide betting range, which goes from $0.20 up to $100. This will undoubtedly appeal to both low rollers and more profit-orientated gamblers who are seeking that one big win to change their lives. And while life-changing wins may not be present on the grid, the game does offer a flat $5000 non-progressive jackpot for scoring five Wilds in a row.

The options menu is somewhat bare, allowing you to turn the sound on or off, using the spacebar for spinning, and turning off the splash screen. Hot Sync Bonus Features

There are two types of Wild in this slot – the traditional, golden plated one that awards you a flat cash amount which can replace all symbols except Scatters and the other Wild, and then, we have the special Hot Sync Wild.

Hot Sync Wilds do not have a cash bonus associated with them, but they do offer re-spins. Two or more Wilds will trigger the bonus feature, and the reels on which said Wilds landed will become hot. Hot reels have a greater chance of producing Wilds, and are always identical to each other. The extra round ends when no more Hot Sync Wilds appear on the reels.

Finally, we have the more traditional free spins special feature. Activated by three or more Scatters, they award eight free spins. Scatters can only appear on the second, third and fourth reel. If a Hot Sync Wild appears anywhere on the playing field during the extra rounds, that reel will remain hot until the end of the special feature. The bonus can’t be retriggered.

Verdict

All in all, we had a lot of fun with this game. While some will complain about the simpler graphics, we find it is a nice call back to how things used to be. With a smooth soundtrack, a fun gameplay loop, and a re-spins bonus that’s netted us a whole lot of money, we find Hot Sync slot machine to be worthy of a try. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed!
