Jackpot Block Party Slot Machine
Whether you’ve got memories of boogieing to the tunes of Money, Money and Shout in the 70’s, or you think this decade falls into the B.C. period, you’ll quickly get in the party mood as soon as you land the Features trio. This is where the real party starts, and with it your chances to win BIG! Crash the parties & open up the presents to keep collecting cash, while having a fab time with this 2014 release by WMS.

Before you start, have a look at the two very discreet buttons on the left bellow the reels: this is where you can choose to work with the Classic Panel or the Quickbet Panel. Classic Panel will offer a choice of number of paylines from 1-30 and the amount you want to bet per line, while the Quickbet Panel allows you to make an instant decision on your total bet ranging from $0.30 to $60.00 (with 30 fixed paylines). Without the Quickbet Panel, you will get seriously frustrated by 1 cent bet per line increase.
Your highest paying symbol is Wild, followed by Gift Box, 7Party icon, Record Player, Disco Ball, Lava Lamp, Party Zone Road Sign, Cheese Dip icon and Piece of Cake.
The Jackpot Block Party is the Wild icon, replacing all other symbols except for Feature 1, 2 and 3. It pays at 3+, with 5 JBP icons winning you 10,000x your line bet. Dy-no-mite!
Scatter is depicted by the Gift Box symbol and landing 3+ of these will trigger the Pick Present Feature, offering you to choose between 3+ wrapped presents to uncover your cash prize.
The Feature trio is represented by 3 icons: the Party Horn, the Confetti Blower and the Noisemaker.
The real fun starts when you manage to crash a party (hey, isn’t it always so?) by landing simultaneously the 3 symbols for the 3 Features. When you do so, you’ll be admitted to the Jackpot Block Party, with a potential to enter the locked areas of the Office Party, Costume Party and the VIP Party.
In order to enter, you need to choose the right present among 30 initially offered. Most presents hide a cash value, and some will reveal the Plunger – this is the one that will open the doors for other party areas. The beauty of getting into additional parties is that you can simultaneously win at all the parties you managed to crash. This will go on until your present reveals the Buzz Kill (skull icon) which will immediately get you thrown out of the party zone, or the Party Pooper which will kick you out from the party you revealed him in but keep you in the Jackpot Block Party area.
One of the options you might get while still partying, is the Punch-a-Pooper represented by the boxing glove: you’ll get to punch one of the 4 characters (we punched the old lady, sorry Ma’am) which will get you a cash prize to be added to all your winnings achieved during the Jackpot Block Party.
Jackpot Block Party Slot – Verdict
We liked the simple graphics, the base game music background not so much. It’s not really party music and it plays only during the spins, finishing abruptly once the reels stop – weird. It’s when you activate special features that you can really enjoy great sound effects, be it one of the popular 70’s tracks or the witty remarks various characters throw at you.
During the base game, we didn’t experience any real big wins; in fact we did a deep dive on our credits and had a last minute save by collecting the 3 Features and managing to get into the Block Party area. But once there, we profited very nicely indeed! Plus we got a chance to throw a punch, which cured all the frustration of nearly going bankrupt. If nothing else, the features will definitely make your time and money worthwhile!
The RTP of this game online is 96.12%, definitely higher than what you will get playing this slot offline. It’s still a bit lower than some of the best online slots.
